One of the great Finnish names in design is Eero Saarinen. With his 'TulipChair' and the matching table you see here, he revolutionized the furniture world and ushered in a new era of modernism.

Saarinen was bothered by the many legs under tables and chairs and created without further ado a type of furniture that counteracted this chaos with a single centered foot. The reduced approach proved successful and became the characteristic feature to which the collection also owes its name.

For this purpose, the thin, round table top sits on the well-formed structure made of cast aluminium.
