Faubourg carpet from ClassiCon

ClassiCon Faubourg - Carpet
Eileen Gray not only created some of the most important furniture classics of the 20th century, but also had her own studio where carpets were made according to her designs. Some of her most beautiful designs are part of the rug collection. The Faubourg Rug is based on gouaches and pencil drawings made by Eileen Gray in the 1920s. The Faubourg is the epitome of minimalism: three simple black lines stand on a square base in natural white in an exciting dialog. Two curved lines create a reference to Eileen Gray's furniture designs, in which circles and arcs are recurring motifs, including the iconic Adjustable Table E1027. An angled line running along the edge of the rug provides an effective contrast to the circular element. The name of the Faubourg Rug was inspired by the location of Gray's studio in the Rue de Faubourg St. Honoré in Paris.

Rug made from 100% hand-spun New Zealand virgin wool. Hand-knotted with a density of 124,000 knots per square meter. Environmentally friendly color pigments, tested according to OEKO-TEX® STANDARD 100. Easy to clean and suitable for vacuum cleaners.

Available in the standard sizes 200 x 200 cm or 300 x 300 cm. Individual sizes on request. Dimensional tolerances +/- 5 cm possible.
