Hooray! The 'Tip Ton' is now also available in a version made entirely of recycled plastic: 'Tip Ton Re'. For this, 'Vitra' has teamed up with Edward Barber and Jay Osgerby. The basis for the high-quality recycled material is the household collection of recyclable materials, especially used packaging.
What's not new is that the 'Tip Ton Re' allows a slightly forward-tilted sitting position in addition to a normal one, as a study conducted by ETH Zurich in 2010 showed that a forward-tilted position has health-promoting properties and strengthens both back and abdominal muscles.
Normally, we are more familiar with such dynamic chairs from the office area, which is why 'Tip Ton' is a real first in the living room.
To achieve the required stability and quality, a proportion of glass fibers is added to the recycled material. The dark gray of 'Tip Ton Re' is the natural color of the processed recycled material and therefore has the smallest color irregularities.
