The shapely stools named 'Stools' were originally designed by Ray Eames in the sixties for the lobby of the Rockefeller Center in New York. The design is reminiscent of chess pieces, but also evokes associations with African seating furniture. Charles and Ray Eames themselves called the solid walnut stools 'Perchers'. The stools were often used in their house in Los Angeles.
The stools, turned from solid, high-quality walnut, differ only in the shape of the central section. At Ray Eames' request, they can also be used as storage tables, which I personally particularly appreciate.
The extraordinary stools bring great contrasts into my four walls, where it is otherwise rather puristic. Great classics with a lot of history and cult potential that you will enjoy for a long time.
