Once again I have a unique piece of furniture for you: the Servierboy UPW.
A serving trolley with railing. So it gives plates, cups and bowls the necessary support to keep everything safe on the journey between the living area and the dining table. The heat-resistant top endures hot pans and pots, and the cover plate that slides over the bottle cutout provides additional storage space. Necessary odds and ends disappear in the drawer, whose basic colors are reminiscent of Bauhaus.
Now to the history of this piece of furniture: For years, Ulrich P. Wieser's wife and passionate cook searched in vain for a serving trolley that met her expectations. It should be able to withstand hot pots or casserole dishes without damage. At the top of the wish list was a fully extendable drawer for all kinds of important odds and ends such as bottle openers, matches and tea lights, serving cutlery and spare napkins. The result of all the design work was a 'mobile sideboard'. For the harmonious design, Ulrich P. Wieser drew on the mass of his UPW shelving system, which had proven itself in recent years.
A pleasantly practical side effect: the second shelf, necessary for stability reasons, is an additional storage area that can be used for desserts or a second set of dishes. For the edges, Ulrich was inspired by the windshield edges of an old Harley Davidson - his boyhood dream.
