'Eames Plastic Armchair DAX RE'

With the 'Plastic Chairs', Charles and Ray Eames developed the first industrially manufactured chairs made of plastic. The most of the best to the greatest number of people for the least' is how Charles and Ray Eames described one of their central goals as furniture designers. With no other design did they come as close to this ideal as with the 'Plastic Chairs'. The basic idea of a one-piece seat shell shaped to fit the body occupied the designer couple for many years.

The 'Eames DAX' combines the seat shell of the 'Eames Armchair' with a classic four-legged base. With its relatively simple appearance, the 'DAX' is undoubtedly the comfortable all-rounder among the 'Eames' plastic chairs.

The organically shaped shell of the chair can be combined with different bases. There are three variants to choose from.

My tip: If you combine several 'Plastic Chairs', for example for a dining table, the play with colors is really a lot of fun.
