'Organic Chair' with high backrest

A comfortable little reading chair.

The 'Organic Chair', a joint work by Charles Eames and Eero Saarinen, is one of the most important designs of Mid-Century Modern Design. This chair was created on the occasion of a furniture competition launched by the Museum of Modern Art in New York in 1940 and has since been regarded as a key work in the work of the two designers and the entire era. Many of the later, today iconic seating furniture of the two designers, such as the 'Eames Plastic Chair' and Saarinen's 'Tulip Chair', can be traced back formally and conceptually to the 'Orangic Chair'.

A real institution of furniture design and therefore a worthy model that I would like to recommend to you. The armchair with the high back not only has a longer back, but also longer and wider armrests.

Find your favourite combination of wooden base and fabric colour and place the beautiful and comfortable 'Organic Chair' in your home.
