Shelf 'Biblio-Démon'

The 'Démon Shelf', or 'Biblio-Démon', as it appears in the old sketches of Mathieu Matégot, was part of the 'plan d'dxecution de la bibliothèque' - the furnishing concept for a house library and a study.

The modular shelving system was designed in 1954 and can be used in a variety of ways. Classic for books in the study, for the records and potted plants in the living room, or for crockery, herbs and carafes in the kitchen.

Particularly striking is the metal profile which takes over the statics for the 'Biblio-Démon'. Combined with the high-quality wood, it has an industrial and rough appearance as well as a homely and playful one.
