Seems to be floating: Shelf 'Babylon'

The shelf Babylon refers ironically to the Tower of Babel in the Old Testament.

With their tower people tried to equal God. The latter finished the building project by causing a confusion of languages, which forced them to give up because of insurmountable communication difficulties.

In contrast, designer Emanuele Magini did not let himself be diverted from his Babylonian tower, uh, shelf.

His 'Babylon' is a free-standing open container made of black painted metal. Glass shelves serve as shelves. This way the furniture is almost floating.

Because of its simple and light lines, the shelf fits discreetly anywhere and presents your favourite trouvailles or gives books a prestigious place of honour.
