When different cultures meet, this creates space for something new and previously unknown. The 'Nomad Chair' is a product of such a meeting. From a Nordic interpretation of a traditional Moroccan wicker chair, an idiosyncratic, charismatic and warm piece of furniture was created that knows how to create the best of both worlds.
A particular sticking point was the high complexity of the connections of the classic basket chair, which had to be translated into the typical Scandinavian simplicity. In close cooperation with the suppliers, many experiments were carried out to develop the large seat and back frames as well as the rear legs, which run from the floor to the back.
Two large bamboo frames, covered with French wickerwork, underline the construction and bring this lightness to the essence of the design. The 'Nomad Chair' is complemented by a neck cushion and a seat cushion made of leather for more comfort and a visual accent.
