Bauhaus shelf by Marcel Breuer

Hardly any other house gathers so many famous figures of architecture and design under its roof as - you guessed it - the Bauhaus. Tecta has taken on this important legacy and the tradition that goes with it. Tecta' sees its task and responsibility in the preservation of these iconic ideas and designs of modernity, as they were created at the Bauhaus in Weimar or Dessau.

One of the famous figures was, among others, the dear Mr. Breuer, whose shelf I may introduce to you today.

It was originally designed in 1932 for Le Corbusier's Maison Clarté in Geneva. The open design of the shelf is supported by a chrome-plated steel tube into which individual horizontal panels are inserted as shelves. The four shelves can be adjusted in height to suit your needs. Additionally you can equip the 'S44' with another shelf.

I personally like the design of the feet very much.

A piece of furniture that enriches the soul and the home in the spirit of 'Tecta'. Timeless and with an everlasting character and if you ask me, the perfect shelf for my little home library.
