The 'Wishbone Chair' is one of the most iconic and most celebrated designs of the Dane Hans J. Wegner. Quite rightly, in my opinion. A light looking, beautiful and above all comfortable chair with the characteristic Ypsilon in the backrest.
With its simple design and clear lines, the chair is a prime example of the highest craftsmanship. The unobtrusive appearance belies the fact that 100 individual steps are required to produce the chair. The hand-woven seat alone is made of 120 metres of paper cord, while the frame and backrest are made of natural wood.
Choose for yourself which design suits you best. My four 'Wishbone Chairs' are lined up around my linoleum table and look wonderful doing it.
