60s Icon: Table lamp 'Nesso'

Nesso' is an international icon of futuristic, democratic design, created by Giancarlo Mattioli and Gruppo Architetti Urbanisti Città Nuova in the glamorous era of the sixties.

As part of the newly launched Modern Classics line, 'Nesso' was a marvel of thermoplastic ABS injection moulding when it was first introduced in 1967, bringing industrial materials and methods to the home and office. Nesso', a splash of colour and a design inspired by nature, comes from the visionary identity of 'Artemide'.

Its iconic curves make it a true collector's item, an expressive statement of internationally recognised calibre and fame.

Nesso is an icon of design and part of the permanent collections of the Metropolitan Museum of Art and the Museum of Modern Art.
