The Bellhop Unplugged rechargeable lamp by Flos is a portable table lamp that directs light exactly where it’s needed. With its compact shape and distinctive bell-shaped diffuser, it evokes the warm glow of a modern candle and combines a cozy atmosphere with Flos’s clean design language.
Thanks to its cordless design, the Bellhop Unplugged can be used flexibly—whether on the dining table, the sideboard, in the living area, or in a sheltered outdoor space. Without a distracting cord, it creates a pleasant lighting ambiance anywhere and becomes a versatile companion for long evenings and special moments.
Operation is intuitive via a push button in the base. The lamp can be dimmed to four brightness levels and also offers three selectable color temperatures of 2200, 2700, and 3000 Kelvin. This allows the lighting effect to be customized—from a particularly warm, cozy light to a brighter illumination. The integrated LED module delivers an efficient light output of 87 lumens at 2 watts. A built-in battery level indicator shows the remaining charge, while the battery life of up to 24 hours allows for flexible use.
Made of high-quality polycarbonate, the Bellhop Unplugged impresses with its precise craftsmanship and harmonious material finish. The opal diffuser ensures even light distribution and a pleasantly soft light pattern. Thanks to its IP54 rating, the light is protected against dust and splashing water, making it suitable for outdoor use as well. Charging is convenient via USB-C, and the appropriate charging cable is included.
The Bellhop Unplugged was designed in 2018 by Edward Barber and Jay Osgerby for Flos. The design is based on the original Bellhop lamp, which was developed in 2016 as a custom table lamp for the Parabola restaurant and the members’ area of the Design Museum in London. This idea gave rise to a versatile family of lamps that impresses with its minimalist form, intuitive use, and the freedom of a portable light source.
