More than 50 years after the introduction of the iconic Fontana pendant lamp, the Santa & Cole label is now releasing the floor lamp version in white lacquered steel.
Designed by André Ricard in 1970, the name is a reference to the artist Lucio Fontana, who challenged art history by cutting up his clean oil paintings. His art was art for the space age, seeking to transform the works into experiments with a new three-dimensionality.
The floor standing 'Fontana' consists of a discrete circular base that supports the structure and shade. In this case, the light is controlled by a dimmer above the shade. Its versatility makes it a perfect companion in the calm of your home or even in the hustle and bustle of your (home) office.
