Wooden Doll Little Devil from 'Vitra'

What is that looking at us from the shelf? The new 'Little Devil' may not be the most impressive size of all the 'Wooden Dolls', but with its bright red color and mischievously cheeky look, you'd still think it was up to some devilry.

The Wooden Dolls company was initially designed by Alexander Girard in 1952 for his own home in Santa Fe. The sometimes happy, sometimes grim faces of the figures were just as inspiring then as they are today, which is why 'Vitra' has included them in its own collection. As in those days, every single doll is made and painted by hand. So each 'Wooden Doll' is also unique.

Alexander Girard dealt intensively with different folk arts during his creative work and often found a source of inspiration in them.

As a small, charming enrichment of the interior, each of the 'Dolls' sets accents and looks especially together with other figures from the family really cool.
