'Eames House Whale'

What? You haven't got a whale at home yet? Then it's high time!

Already in the 'Eames House' - no less famous as its animal inhabitants - a wooden whale was hanging from the ceiling. The designer couple Charles and Ray Eames organized and decorated their environment with great seriousness and joy and so the 'Eames House' was a constantly changing collage. A picture of her life.

The original whale was over six feet tall. Vitra' scaled it down a little bit, but still left it big enough so that the view immediately sticks to the design object.

The wooden figure is originally from North American folk art and is painted by hand today as it was then.
