The classic stool now comes in color!
The Ulm stool was designed in 1955 by Max Bill, the first director of the Ulm School of Design, in collaboration with Hans Gugelot and Paul Hildinger for the students of the School of Design. 'Two vertical boards and a horizontal one, - the three firmly interlocked and finally held together by a round wooden rod at the bottom,' is how a contemporary described the stool's construction principle. In this way, it was intended to serve as a seat, a side table, a shelf, and even as a carrying aid for the books needed during study.
This is what the versatile stool still does today: in the office, in the children's room, in the living room, in the entrance hall or in the studio - and all this in motley, wonderful colors.
