Philippe Starck offers a new and personal interpretation of a traditional piece of furniture: a chair in which the distinctive beechwood frame and a metal shell with soft, organic lines merge into a single unit. In the hands of the designer, steel reveals unexpected design possibilities: The seat becomes a sculptural element and, thanks to its sophisticated ergonomics, adapts perfectly to the user’s body. The comfortable backrest flows into two small armrests, which are a signature detail of Starck’s design language.
