For a long time they were lost and only available on the limited second-hand market. And although the beautiful vintage models have their charm, I'm as happy as a honey-cake horse that they are now finally available again in mint condition: the famous Side Chairs by Charles & Ray Eames in fiberglass.
The chairs with the uniquely beautiful, through-dyed, fiberglass-reinforced polyester shell are an eye-catcher in the room and of course a great design classic in furniture history.
The wooden base harmonizes wonderfully with the seat shell and gives the classic a certain warmth and a particularly homely touch.
Especially the great nuances of the fiberglass series have already excited me in the design books, now finally I get to choose my favorite: Sea Foam Green.
