Japanese bed 'Elan'

I have to admit, the word Elan is not the very first thing I associate with my island of rest - aka my bed - right now. But 'Elan' by Danish label Karup Design really makes me wide awake with joy, because the low-slung bed is made of high-quality European pine and equipped with a thick futon mattress with or without tatami mats underneath. Tatami? That's right, these give 'Elan' and by extension your bedroom an exceptional Japanese look.

It looks especially beautiful and cozy in a plain room environment with light walls and a pleasant linen bedding. To melt away, my dears!
