Originally conceived as a lounge chair that he could also use for meditation at home, Rasmussen has used a combination of wood and rope to create a simple, flexible chair that provides both a sense of floating and a connection to the ground.
The open triangular frame, available in either walnut or oak, was constructed without a single screw, while the 90 meters of hand-woven natural linen cord that make up the seat and backrest add lightness to the design.
The 'MR01 Initial Chair' will keep you comfortable all year round. The rope construction allows for good air circulation in the warmer months, and with a blanket or sheepskin it will be cozy in the winter as well.
