Wardrobe 'Cessato Allarme'

The Cessato Allarme clothes rack, designed by Studio De Pas in 1986 and put into production by Poltronova in 1991, reveals its source of inspiration in its name ('Alarm Over!'): the alarm trumpets mounted on light poles during the last war.

Made of metal and available in bright colours, it now has nothing warlike about it, but a cheerful pop touch, underlined once again by the unusual name.

Studio De Pas sees this wardrobe as a metaphorical invitation to 'go forth and blow the trumpets again'.

But of course you can also see 'Cessato Allarme' for what it is: a wardrobe you can trust with a lot.
