Piezas' is in my eyes the born dining table. I have chosen it once in a compact, square dimension. It fits perfectly into a small city kitchen. In the 140 x 85 cm format, 'Piezas' is particularly suitable in a parlour or dining room.
The piece elegantly combines wood and metal and conveys a sense of simplicity and a strong silhouette. Incidentally, the idea for the table came from a toy that could be fitted precisely into another. This feature is reflected here in the metal frame into which the tabletop is set.
Piezas' was designed by the Spanish designer Silvia Ceñal, who, inspired by the versatility of materials and the joy of colours, reveals curiosity and an experimental approach to design and materials in her creations. She takes pride in discovering and exploring distinctive techniques.
