Trinity Basket by Alessi

The “Trinity” wicker bowl is based on a simple geometric shape that has been evolved into an elegant concentric structure reminiscent of a whirlpool. The dynamic form of the object was inspired by the shell of the “Nautilus” mollusk. With this design, the designer sought to combine an aspect of nature with modern industrial manufacturing processes. The dynamic shape of the wicker bowl is created by laser-cutting sheet steel, which is then shaped using a mechanical process.
