This basket was designed by Marco Trimarchi. “La Stanza dello Scirocco” is a collection of objects for various rooms, such as the kitchen and living room, that emerged from the abstract and still atmosphere of a magical place: the room in the large Sicilian country houses where one retreats from the oppressive heat while waiting for the Scirocco to subside. A windowless room where one can do nothing but reflect on the wind that sets everything earthly in motion outside.
The result is a collection of geometrically irregular objects composed of small fragments of varying sizes that interweave with one another in a seemingly unstable equilibrium.
