This carpet comes from the traditional company Toulemonde Bochart from near Paris, which has grown from a small, fine family business to a well-known and extremely innovative carpet specialist. One of the reasons for this is that it has always believed in the carpet as a central accessory of stylish home furnishings. And it has always kept its finger on the pulse of time and demand, working with both established and renowned designers as well as courageous young designers.
Laur Meyieux is a new designer at 'Toulemonde Bochart'. Her sensibility and style are informed by her years of experience in Japan.
The creation of this rug is inspired by the simplicity of Japanese Zen gardens and tries to imitate nature.
The shapes of the carpet Theo are organic with color harmonies reminiscent of these gardens: sand, water and the green of bamboo.
