Clàudia Valsells has designed the Tones collection, which focuses on color, and for the artist, the shift from her usual medium of color to the nuances and textures of fibers and wool has been a very interesting challenge. She has once again used color in an excellent way and this time surprised us with the new medium of carpet.
I particularly like that the Tones Pieces rug is available as either a Kilim or a tufted version. As a kilim, 'Tones' is flat and uncomplicated. Tufted, it comes across as wonderfully fluffy and soft.
