Chair '68' by Alvar Aalto

The 68 chair is a likeable fellow from the pen of none other than Alvar Aalto. He designed the chair with functionality, simplicity and durability in mind.

The backrest consists of three separate parts, including a slim, curved rail that supports the backrest.

I particularly like the circular seat with its large perimeter. Not that my bottom needs so much surface, but this way it sits just shamelessly well and also sometimes longer.

The '68' is available in natural birch or lacquered white or black. There are also two versions with a different coloured seat.

And if you don't need it or want to shake a leg after dinner, you can simply stack up to four '68' chairs on top of each other.
