I can't really add anything more to that. The '118 M' is a classic wooden chair that is perfect at the dining table - whether in a posh dining room or in a cosy city kitchen.

The principle of reducing a chair to as few components as possible was introduced by Michael Thonet as early as the mid-19th century. Now the designer Sebastian Herkner has added refined details that make the design less dominant, but all the more distinguished.
