Bentwood armchair 209 M by 'Thonet'

This elegant bentwood classic is a masterpiece in construction and manufacturing: The cantilevered bracket, which forms both backrest and armrest, is bent into its shape in one piece from solid beech wood.

Like the original model of the bentwood chairs, model no. 214 by 'Thonet', the 209 also consists of only six parts. Due to its aesthetic reduction in combination with its organic form, it almost looks like a sculpture.

Incidentally, the Swiss architect Le Corbusier was as enthusiastic about it as I am and used it in many of his buildings, including the Weißenhof estate in Stuttgart in 1927. He confirmed that this chair has 'nobility.

The bentwood armchair comes in stained beech in the color of your choice to your home.
