Sofa no. 1 was the first sofa series that design director Mogensen designed for the Fredericia label, and it was the beginning of a close collaboration.
Mogensen gave the sofa no. 1 his masterful feeling for materials and proportions, emphasizing the horizontal and vertical lines with clear angular armrests. The tightly upholstered wooden frame is softened by loose, interchangeable, buttoned cushions.
All this is in keeping with Mogensen's ambition to create functional furniture that enriches people's everyday lives.
