The 'O-Lite' reminds me at first of a traffic light. Or a car headlight.
In fact, the latter were experimented with in the design process for optimal light control and glare control. The aim of the designers was to develop dematerialised light or a luminous body that radiates high quality only through its wall thickness.
Through the layering of several diffuser and light directing shells, the wall/ceiling luminaire produces a brilliant, widely diffused LED light with reduced glare.
The 'O-Lite' can be used both indoors and outdoors.
