Pendant lamp 'AJ Royal'

The beautiful pendant lamp Royal was created by none other than Arne Jacobsen himself. As simple as it may seem, the design icon status does not come by chance.

The 'AJ Royal' was also designed by the Danish designer for the SAS Royal Hotel in Copenhagen and contributed to the overall concept of the hotel.

The small version of the Royal luminaire was designed to be hung high up in the room. The light is diffused without glare by an opal acrylic base plate. The slightly larger version was designed to be hung at a low height. Therefore, like the original, this size does not come with a diffuser.

I particularly like the rings at the top of the lampshade, which subtly illuminate the pendant lamp itself.
