Parentesi' means in Italian: 'clamp' or 'cling' and describes besides the name at the same time the principle of the ceiling spotlight by 'Flos'. A chic steel cable, which is 'clamped' between the ceiling and the floor, i.e. stretched to the full height of the room, allows the height of a steel tube to be adjusted, to which the lamp body is attached. The actual luminaire is a shapely, black spotlight that provides plenty of direct light wherever it is needed.
In this version, the electronic dimmer is located on the cable, with which you can gradually adjust the light intensity.
The design for this cool light source, which fits perfectly in the studio as well as next to my sofa, comes from the designers Achille Castiglioni and Pio Manzù, and that from the year 1970! The innovative mixture of pendant and floor lamp was even awarded the coveted Compasso d'Oro prize.
A classic for connoisseurs!
