Artful pendant light 'String Lights Sphere'

Do you know the problem? You want to install the new lamp, but the power outlet is always exactly where you want it the least? The designer Michael Anastassiades tried to solve this problem playfully with his 'String Lights Sphere' pendant lamp and did so in a completely poetic way.

What else inspired him? 'When I'm on the train and travelling, I always see from the window these power lines connecting the power poles. And as we race along at high speed, I see these completely parallel lines and find myself under the spell of this incredible discipline - how is that possible? It's just so beautiful, and it's so poetic how they connect the power lines and divide the landscape at the same time. I wanted to transfer this vision and discipline into an inner environment. They're like linear drawings. I like how people use light to define spaces, especially outdoors. Just think of a nocturnal village square in the Mediterranean. They have strings of lights hanging squarely from four masts. It would be as if they were announcing: It's the lights that define this activity.'

Thanks to a length of no less than 12 metres, you can stretch the cable artfully through the room as you please. If you have any questions or need general advice, I will be happy to help you. You can reach me at [email protected] / 043 311 02 02.
