A veritable light figure is the floor lamp Noctambule Floor, which I have selected for you from today. The light source by 'Flos' is already a real feast for the eyes when switched off. When illuminated, it becomes a work of art par excellence.
By the way, 'Noctambule' means the night owl or the night owl. Usually invisible during the day, but comes to glamorous activity at night. The analogy is more than apt here. Because the eponymous series of lights consists of modules of blown glass, which are transparent and therefore almost non-existent during the day. But when you turn them on in the dark, they transform into magnificent, illuminated lamps.
Designer Konstantin Grcic's design consists of cylindrical glass modules connected together to reach a height of up to 217 cm, with the single module being a lantern. Several modules stacked on top of each other form a column of light. This column ends optionally with a glass dome or a cone-shaped head.
The carefully calibrated LED technology that powers 'Noctambule' is discreetly integrated into the junctions between the glass modules. Almost absent, but ready to be activated at any (night) time.
