The icon of the studio lamps goes back to the prototypical universal genius M. Fortuny. He originally began his career as a painter and sculptor and then moved on to the theatre, where he soon began to explore stage lighting in depth.
Later, Fortuny turned his attention to the fashion world: he created with his company unsurpassed refined fabrics. His company in Venice still exists today and 'Pallucco' is now launching special editions of the lamp with fabrics from their archives.
