"Dressed" Round Tray by Alessi

The “Dressed” placemat was designed by Marcel Wanders. Traditionally, decoration is placed in the most important and visible areas of an object. Wanders, on the other hand, places it in more hidden spots, some of which are barely visible or normally not visible at all—a kind of introverted decoration. Despite its rich and complex, floral, and slightly baroque design language, Wanders succeeds in this way in maintaining an elegant and light overall effect.

The Dressed series includes all the elements of a classic table setting and consists of plates and bowls, cutlery, glasses, a placemat, a tray, and coasters for glasses and bottles.
