The round “Joy” basket was designed by Claudia Raimondo. Its shape and the decoration on the sheet steel are the result of a sophisticated and contemporary shaping technique. The object’s surfaces define its form: spacious and open, with undefined edges and a fascinating play of reflections reminiscent of handcrafted objects made of precious metals. The texture evokes the backgrounds of the digital world and reinterprets steel by playing with the ephemeral nature of the design. As a result, the object appears smooth and natural, even though it has crystallized into a solid material.
