For the motif of the 'Key Rings', Dutch designer Hella Jongerius was inspired by a milestone in the history of 'Vitra': the elephant. For Charles and Ray Eames, the elephant was already the model for a decorative toy object in the 1940s, which the traditional company reissued a few years ago.
