The F chair is a modern Shaker chair based on the virtues of traditional craftsmanship. It continues the folk simplicity and honesty of the archetypal Shaker chair, but with modern comfort and a clean, geometric and minimalist look.
Danish designer Rasmus Bækkel Fex and 'Brdr. Krüger' have reinterpreted the design of the Shaker chair in close collaboration and in a joint effort to explore archetypes and materials with an open mind.
The result is a modern, ascetic interpretation of tradition, contrasting the craftsmanship of wood and woodturning with a seat made from industrial polyester fabric, hand-woven to create a bespoke geometric pattern.
The seat changes character as it reflects ambient light, while the embracing wooden backrest invites you to sit down and enjoy the chair for its simple function and comfort.
