Artfully shaped: chair '3D'

Looking for exceptional furniture, lighting and furnishings? Then 'Gubi' is the right place for you. The label stands for daring and elegant collections.

The distinctive pieces evoke emotions and tell meaningful stories. Gubi' brings together forgotten icons of the past with the classics of tomorrow. The result is a visionary collection, selected pieces of which you can find in my shop.

One of the most innovative products of 'Gubi' is this chair. It was designed by Boris Berlin and Poul Christiansen of Komplot Design. The '3D Chair' is the first furniture design based on the innovative technique of three-dimensional deformation of veneer. The 3D design gives the chair a comfortable seat and a feeling of lightness - all edges point away from the user.

Thanks to this groundbreaking technology, the thickness of the veneer can be reduced to half of the thickness normally used. Designed in 2003, the chair has won several prestigious design awards and is on permanent display at the Museum of Modern Art (MoMA) in New York.

With its numerous options for frame and shell, playing with colours is particularly fun. Whether tone-in-tone or motley: do your own thing!
