The Danish label Ferm Living has created a Japanese-style furniture series with 'Kona'. The display table in the series is made of lacquered oak veneer and I particularly like its rather 'low' height above the floor.
The zen furniture looks particularly good in the living room as a longer side table or coffee table. You can arrange plants, books and a few of your favorite objects on the table or use it as a coffee table if you make yourself comfortable on cushions on the floor.
