That’s how this collection gradually took shape,” explains Vincent Van Duysen.
The name Rudolph pays homage to Rudolf Michael Schindler, one of the most significant figures of American Mid-Century Modernism. “I admire him greatly. The mid-century style is an important source of inspiration for my work—think of the characteristic, fixed-seating benches that define modern interiors. However, the main inspiration for this collection was the sofa in my home in Portugal—its proportions, its lines, and the sense of calm it exudes when you look at it or sit on it.”
