One of my favourite local textile studios ZigZagZurich has a new textile development behind it and now proudly presents the result: shower curtains made of water-repellent cotton. Juhui!
The heavy Panama cotton used for this is of high quality and an ideal base for the beautiful prints. After printing, the cotton is treated with a special acrylic coating that seals the cotton. This makes it waterproof, dimensionally stable and resistant to mould, but without losing the soft feel of cotton.
The print 'Limelight' was designed by the artist Celine Cornu. He shows soft and volatile colours that blend gracefully with each other and create coloured drops of water on a grand scale.
