Cult 'Aare bath towel'

A few years ago, I discovered the Zürisee bath towel for myself. This year, another bijou by graphic designer Doris Oberneder follows: the Aare bath towel.

The Aare looks back on a long bathing tradition and is in many places in Switzerland the best place ever in summer due to its high water quality. In the city of Bern, swimming on the Aare is even one of UNESCO's living traditions.

Originating from the two Aare glaciers, the river squeezes through gorges and is allowed to meander freely over long stretches. This is exactly what is reflected in the great retro motif of the Aare bath towel.

The design was implemented in high-quality weaving with a mixture of cotton and bamboo. This makes the material four times more absorbent than pure cotton. And bamboo also has a natural antibacterial effect. The river course was woven flat and generally the bath towel has a slightly velvety sheen.

Perfectly shaped bathing and enjoy the tradition behind it several times over - this Tüechli makes it possible. There's no stopping it, and not just for true Bernese!
