A classic par excellence is the leather lounger Control of the Danish company Eilersen, which already exists since 1895 as a family business.
The name of the lounger is somewhat deceptive, because in here you can completely lose control. Once you've let yourself sink into the soft cushions, you'll never want to get up again. I instantly relax in it, the burdens of everyday life are far away and it feels as if the lounger is tailored exactly to my body.
Recliners are always a bit of a challenge: they're either too hard, too soft, too short or too narrow, which means I have to stretch my arms up to read a book and shake them every two minutes to keep them from falling asleep.
Not so with 'Control'. There's enough room for me to rest my arms comfortably next to my body.
