Today there is news from 'Horgenglarus' and they have it in themselves: The table Mi massive has an insanely great presence and is my latest discovery.
Mi massiv' shares its puristic geometry with the table Mi, but its solid wood leads to a different aesthetic of the table top, also it requires a slightly different construction.
While the peeled veneer of the 'Mi' shows the drawing of a trunk on a large scale, the image of the table top of the 'Mi massive' is assembled from individual rift boards in such a way that a beautiful drawing is created.
The high quality of the wood can be seen in the almost vertical annual rings on the front of the table.
The table top is float mounted to allow the solid wood to work. A minimal joint to the frame underlines the optical claim.
