In fact, the shape of this sofa is reminiscent of a swan. Albeit in a truly minimalist way.
Like the armchair of the same name, the striking Swan Sofa was designed by Arne Jacobsen in 1958 for the lobby and lounge area of the SAS Royal Hotel in Copenhagen. The design contains no straight lines, so despite its simplicity and strong architectural look, it feels organic and soft.
Speaking of soft: it's also really good to sit in here, by the way.
In this version, the sofa is upholstered in a wool fabric, and you can choose your favourite from a wide range of colours.
The cover is sewn completely by hand. It's really remarkable how much handwork goes into each 'Swan', making each piece unique.
